Jane Ellen (Blind) Glover

Jane Ellen (Blind) Glover, age 91 of Williamsport, IN died at 7:35 a.m. CST on Friday, December 31, 2010 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL. Jane Ellen was born on June 10, 1919 in Pine Village, IN. She was the daughter of William Benjamin and Cora (Dick) Blind. She was a 1937 graduate of Williamsport High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Home Ec Education from Purdue University in 1941 where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta Sorority. On October 3, 1954 she married Donald William Glover in Attica, IN. He preceded her in death on May 27, 2000. Jane Ellen taught at Fortville, Klondike, and Durgan schools (among others) during her 14 year teaching career. She and her husband then farmed for 56 years in Warren County. Jane Ellen was an active member of the Judyville United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School, was active in the church guild, and served on the Board of Trustees. She was a volunteer for Tri Kappa, Warren County 4-H and the St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital Guild gift shop. Surviving are, 2 daughters, Mary Jane Dodds (husband: Chris) of Piedmont, CA and Martha Boyd (husband: Dennis) of Glen Ellyn, IL; and grandchildren, William and Andrew Dodds and John and James Boyd. Jane Ellen was preceded in death by 1 brother, Dr. Bill Blind, DVM. Visitation will be at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport on Monday, January 3, 2011 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Services will be there in the chapel on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Darrell A. Harris officiating. Interment will be at Highland Cemetery in Williamsport.
